D. Frazer, J. Szornel, D.L. Krumwiede, K.A.Terrani, P. Hosemann published a new paper in “Experimental mechanics” entitled:”Evaluation of the Mechanical Properties of TRISO Particles Using Nanoindentation and Ring Compression Testing”
This week Hysitron installed the new in-situ PI88 with heating (<800C), nanoDynamic mode, and two load ranges (max 500mN) at UCB’s nuclear materials group. We are excited to be able to test materials at reactor operation temperature on the nano scale (indentation, bending, compression and tension). This tool will also be available for NSUF users. […]
We are looking forward to test many irradiated and not irradiated samples with this fantastic tool!
Tolerance to structural disorder and tunable mechanical behavior in self-assembled superlattices of polymer-grafted nanocrystals was published in PNAS
Congratulations to the bladesmithers Evan, Hi, Winston, David, Joey, Manfred. Job well done!!
Congratulations to the team on the recently published article” Nanomechanical Characterization of the Tensile Modulus of Rupture for Kerogen-Rich Shale“
The influence of microstructure on the cyclic deformation and damage of copper and an oxide dispersion strengthened steel studied via in-situ micro-beam bending
